Fall into boots this season

October 5, 2009

This weekend as I strolled through Towson mall I spotted some ultra cute shoes that are a must-have this fall! The soft leather boot.

This season is all about the super tall boot and Nordstrom’s has multiple how-to clips on what looks best with the new boot. Neutral colors like a light brown or soft grey look great with any look. Pair them with a mini dress and tights and you’ll be set all day or all night.

If you’re not sure about the super long boot, aim for the simple and sophisticated ankle boot–a classic look with any outfit.

My personal favorite happen to be the Sam Edelman suede boots (see below!) that were featured in the September issue of Teen Vogue.

This Southern Methodist University alum traveled to the East Coast to help start a new greek chapter at Towson University but what she didn’t realize was she traveled from the heart of Dallas with style.

“I love accessories,” she said. Erin spoke excitedly of her fashionable finds like the gold layered necklace from Forever 21 and a skinny belt from GAP.

Erin pays attention to the small details. Like the royal blue nail polish to match her vibrant top and the Nordstrom pointed ballet flats.

Baltimore style, hon

September 11, 2009

When most people think of high fashion, they think of the city– as in New York City.

Manhattan offers everything and more.  The fashion district, designer headquarters New York Fashion Week, and now we can add to the list: Fashion’s Night Out.

Don’t get me wrong, New York is an amazing city, but smaller cities across the coast are often overlooked when it comes establishing the title of ‘stylish.’

We may not have a Bryant Park or Fifth Avenue to showcase our seasonal trends but we’ve got the Inner Harbor and the greater Baltimore area to show off our East Coast style.

And for those who may not know, we also have Baltimore Fashion Week. It’s perfect for our stylish Baltimoreans who can come out and support local designers and boutiques.

Take a look at the snapshot below and you’ll see Baltimoreans have more style than you think. This student had an electic thought in mind before she left her house.
